Mixing & Mastering

MIXING & MASTERING

What is mixing?

In the music production process, mix is a key factor to make your track sound good. It starts with track organisation and it finishes on tweaking and adjustments.

Simply explaining: it's the process of taking recorded tracks and blending them together.

If you want to have a great sounding track, you should mix it!

What is mastering?

Mastering is  the process of taking an audio mix and preparing it for distribution. There are several considerations in this process: unifying the sound or a record, maintaining consistency across an album, etc.

Mastering is the final polish of a song that makes it sound good anywhere - whether it's on speakers, cars, laptops and phones !

What do I send you?

For mixing: please send a WAV export of your track. Don't forget to export all channels individually in 24 bit and -6db of headroom. Do not normalize or use dithering on your export.

For mastering: please export the final mix of your track in WAV format 24 bit and -6db of headroom. Don't forget to delete any effects, compression or limiting on the master channel.
